G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear dresses, women's suits and sportswear with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for the Tommy Hilfiger Performance division.



  • Conduct fittings on live models to determine fit corrections
  • Determine corrections to achieve fit by manipulating pattern or flat technical sketches
  • Oversee initial sample specifications from design sketch
  • Establish close partnership with Design in order to facilitate the interpretation of Design concepts
  • Meet weekly with Production Team regarding the sample approval status in order to maintain company time/action calendars
  • Interact on a daily basis with agents/vendors to problem solve all issues related to garment engineering
  • Manage & develop staff of Technical Designers and/or Assistant Technical Designers in all technical, administrative and work flow skills



  • Minimum 7 years technical design experience
  • Experience in performance/compression and C&S knits is a must, as well as Outerwear experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment w/ tight deadlines, have impeccably time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both in person as well as corresponding with vendor partners overseas
  • Adept at translating the designers vision in fit terms to the vendor partners
  • Partner with design for initial specs during development and see fit through to production
  • Partner with and oversee all fit comments and communication with vendor partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
