Bass, among others is seeking a Sales Assistant to join its team based in New York City.


  • Manage administrative tasks for the department including: updating account lists, updating account profiles, assisting with maintenance of PO log, maintain wholesale event calendar, etc.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and account management team on all in-store event planning, goal setting and performance tracking
  • Track sample requests for special events and advertising: maintain sample closet, prepare shipments, and coordinate with Marketing/PR as needed
  • Coordinate planning of NY markets
  • Prepare seasonal product books by category and client
  • Assist with other special projects as needed
  • Maintain and monitor selling reports for all major department stores
  • Collaborate with Logistics department to ensure consistent communication with clients on order processing and shipping needs are being met
  • Maintain seasonal order confirmations and ensure weekly shipping updates are delivered in a timely manner
  • Check vendor orders for accuracy and assist in order processing, EDI/order confirmation process and shipment tracking


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Exceptional organizational & analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with retail math
  • Proficient in excel and formulas such as:  Vlookups, sum if, pivots (etc.)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint
