    GIII Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear, dresses, women's suits, sportswear and accessories, is currently seeking a Retail Marketing Coordinator to join its team within the Donna Karan New York division based in New York City.



    The Retail Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and strategic execution of marketing programs for full price and outlet channels. This individual is accountable for the contribution to marketing programs that generate profit, drive traffic, meet both the divisions financial and marketing goals to deliver a best in class customer experience.


    The Retail Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for fostering productive cross-functional relationships with internal/external partners that help build and execute profitable marketing strategies.  Teamwork, process, relationship management and effective communication, as well as attention to detail are critical aspects of this role.


    Optimize Customer Engagement

    • Brainstorm and contribute to the quarterly in-store marketing strategies; create and maintain necessary documents
    • Assist in projects such as briefing and proofing direct mail and in-store marketing communications
    • Present and review relative marketing from competitive landscape

    Increase Productivity

    • Generate and track daily/weekly business results; understand impact of marketing programs to business and communicate to team
    • Support financial strategies by utilizing historical performance, current trend analysis, market research and cross-functional feedback in collaboration with Manager
    • Compile, maintain and share weekly marketing program results with team to determine successes and opportunities go forward
    • Provide basic project management support for all Retail Marketing initiatives
    • Support Manager to optimize existing processes and maximize efficiencies
    • Manage marketing calendars and timelines on an ongoing basis; maintain and distribute



    • Execute clear, concise and accurate communication to the field population
    • Communicate regularly with external vendors to ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives
    • Create and compile weekly, quarterly, and yearly marketing hindsight documents
    • Execute department presentations including recap documents
    • Maintain marketing archives including collateral, tracking documents and invoices


    Talent Management

    • Contribute to individual development plan; follow-up check points with manager are established to ensure application of learning
    • Utilize corporate L&D offerings and appropriate external resources to support individual development plan
    • Team player with excellent relationship building skills



    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • One to three years of Marketing experience, direct to consumer marketing preferred but not required


    • Proactive and solution oriented; ability to make effective, well thought out decisions
    • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in line with business objectives; manage short and long deadlines, while maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy
    • Sense of urgency and strong follow up
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Demonstrate strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to interface with all levels of management

    Systems Knowledge

    • Computer proficiency (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
