    GIII also has licenses with the four major professional sports leagues, as well as over 100 U.S. colleges and universities. In addition, G-III currently designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel, including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small leather goods and various accessories.

     

    GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a Senior Director -Digital Branding and Social Strategy to join its team based in New York City!

    Responsibilities

    SOCIAL MEDIA

    • Own the overall strategy for the G-III brands’ presences across all applicable social platforms
    • Act as internal social media expert, partnering with key teams to define official policies, educate employees on the digital space, etc.
    • Oversees Social Media Manager and Digital Assistant to manage the day-to-day execution of social media for all G-III brands (i.e. content calendars, platform posting, seasonal branding updates, internal communication calendars, etc.)
    • Partners with creative agencies and SVP of Global Marketing and Communications to build their vision and voice for G-III Brands through all Social channels.
    • Partner with Creative studio to concept and create custom content for digital platforms
    • Partners closely with category and international licensees, as well as other members of the marketing/PR teams to ensure that key activations, product launches and events are represented appropriately online
    • Manges influencer partnerships, overseeing both organic and paid activations
    • Provides regular reporting and analysis for all seasonal initiatives

     

    OFFICIAL SITE

    • Partner with E-Commerce and Creative studio teams with the DKNY.com experience, working together to create ongoing newness for site that partners with all social messaging
    • Own any potential on-site blog, where applicable
    • Ensure aforementioned site aligns to all seasonal marketing initiatives, partner programs and social messaging cadence

     

    DIGITAL ADVERTISING

    • Assists the Senior Director of Global Media team on the digital brand advertising campaign including paid social, video and custom content initiatives
    • Partners with publishers on custom content development from start to finish; ensures original content (both image, video and copy) editorialize the G-III brands in a way that reflects key products, brand values and brand identity
    • Works with G-III Studio to ensure all visual representations of branded campaigns and seasonal editorial creative accurately representing the brand, and in line with industry best practices
    • Ensures copy for all digital advertising is aligned to the brands’ respective voice and style guide

     

     

    BRANDING

    • Maintains the brand’s presence online to ensure that all digital representations of G-III brands are in line with their respective brand personas, voices and style guides
    • Ideates and collaborates on seasonal strategies for amplifying key initiatives on social and digital
    • Drives strategy and project lead on any applicable digital elements/aspects to larger overall branding initiatives such as runway shows, ad campaign launches, events, etc.
    • Fosters relationships with media partners such as Google, Instagram/Facebook and Twitter to constantly stay on top of all new features and platforms.
    • Conducts seasonal team brainstorming sessions to keep all Marketing, Ecommerce and Creative teams thinking “Digital-First”
    • Strives for brand-right innovation in the Social Space with new press worthy concepts to be the first to market (in Fashion or out).
    • Evaluates emerging technologies provide thought leadership for adoption if necessary.
