In addition, G-III currently designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel, including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small leather goods and various accessories.


    GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a Senior Production Coordinator to join its team based in New York City!


    • Review with Design throughout the development phase to ensure that the line is balanced in terms of number of styles, silhouettes, materials, and price points.
    •  Track sample due dates; Receive and check in samples.
    •  Work with Design to determine which styles are ultimately on the line.
    •  Collect first cost prices from the factories.
    •  Work with VP of Production and Merchandising to calculate first cost prices for target wholesale/retail prices.
    •  Work with VP of Production and Merchandising to price the line (determine appropriate wholesale and retail prices).
    •  Work with VP of Production and Merchandising to create a production timetable indicating target cut and delivery dates.
    •  Prepare Division 40, 42 and 43 line lists for Sales using Image Info.
    •  Upload information from Image Info to AS400.  Set up and maintain Stylemaster in AS400, including updating country of origin codes.
    •  Prepare production corrections with Design and sales.
    •  Follow up with the factories to implement corrections for main production and to coordinate the production of correction samples for review by Sales and Design.
    •  Pass Pos to the factories by placing cuts in the AS400 system.
    •  Provide factories with UPC codes.
    •  Notify Sales of any styles that are not being cut because orders have not met minimum quantities.
    •  Track production of goods with the factory, shipping, and ultimately receiving of the goods at D.C’s.
    •  Prepare AS400 production status report and hold update meetings with Sales.
    •  Open L/C’s to ensure payment to the factories.
    •  Work on pre-classification duty analysis with Import/Export Department.
    •  Work with the Compliance Department when necessary to get new vendors approved and to ensure that current vendors’ factories are operating according to acceptable standards.
    •  Generally monitor vendor activity and performance.  Communicate with factories on a daily basis to ensure smooth operation and production and to confirm that they are on track to meet all delivery dates.



    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Keen organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and thorough follow-up habits.
    • Good computer skills including knowledge of Excel, MSC and AS400
    • Experience to gain knowledge of the fashion industry and to gain a solid understanding of how the production process works.
