    GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a Tech Designer - G.H. Bass Woven Sportswear and Outerwear to join its team based in New York City!


    • Work with the Designers and Retail Merchants in live fittings to provide fit comments to our manufacturing partners.

    • Create tech packs from development stage and maintain through production stage.

    • Organize and prioritize daily workload to maintain production calendar
    • Create technical design packages to communicate overseas fit and construction
    • Conduct fittings.
    • Communicate with vendors regarding fit, specs, grading issues and construction via fit comments
    • Monitor and maintain fit, construction, and workmanship for consistency within the brand across all factories
    • Responsible from inception, to PP sample approval, and TOP sample approval.


    • 4 Year College Degree: Preferred with training in Technical Design.
    • 5-6 years of experience in the apparel industry in technical design and/or pattern making.
    • Working knowledge of PLM.
    • Live model fit experience.
    • Knowledge of patternmaking.
    • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
    • Proactive and Action oriented.

    • Good listening skills.
    • Organized thought process and application.

    • Sense of urgency.
