    GIII also has licenses with the four major professional sports leagues, as well as over 100 U.S. colleges and universities. In addition, G-III currently designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel, including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small leather goods and various accessories.

     

    GIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a Licensing Coordinator to join its team based in New York City!

    Responsibilities

    Product Development

    • Monitor Time & Action Calendars
    • Partner with design to ensure licensed partners received sufficient seasonal inspiration and design direction
    • Partner with design to approve seasonal concepts, color stories, merch plans, and product
    • Provide written communication outlining approvals and actionable requests for additions, cancellations, and changes
    • Complete seasonal market research on competitors’ trends and pricing

    Distribution

    • Manage distribution lists for licensed categories
    • Receive approvals for new accounts and review with superior
    • Communicate approval decisions with licensees and a keep detail record of all approvals
    • Gather and maintain seasonal records of licensees distribution
    • Conduct research on new proposed distribution, malls, areas where licensees are looking to expand
    • Inform licensees of corporate changes in distribution and new initiatives
    • Conduct regular visits of retail stores and present findings on licensees vs. competition

    Business Analysis and Planning

    • Prepare annual business plan templates and distribute to necessary parties
    • Analyze annual business plan and ensure respective businesses are being planned in a strategic manner and in line with corporate strategy and compliant to license agreements
    • Review royalty statements on a quarterly basis and ensure all accounts have been approved and financial obligations are being met
    • Receive, analyze and submit licensee’s monthly reports
    • Conduct monthly and seasonal review of product selling, compile information and present to superior and design team to understand successes and areas of opportunity and growth

    Advertising and Marketing

    • Facilitate selection of product for seasonal ad campaigns
    • Collect complete sample collections and understand specific advertising needs by licensee
    • Work with styling team to communicate these needs and ensure key product represented in each campaign
    • Work with superior to determine seasonal and yearly advertising and marketing budgets
    • Partner with marketing to initiate and support each licensees’ advertising and marketing needs while ensuring they are aligned with corporate philosophy and seasonal goals

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 2-3 Years Industry experience
    • Licensing/Brand Management Experience is a plus
    • Self-starter
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong Written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly organized
    • Must have strong abilities in MS Excel
    • Understanding of licensing agreements
    • Understanding of retail math, sales projections
    • Internet Savvy
